The workshop will take place at La Casa de Maria in Santa Barbara, California. It is a beautiful, natural sanctuary of 26 semi-rural acres in the foothills of the Montecito neighborhood.
Paul K. Chappell, Peace Leadership Director at the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation, has delivered hundreds of lectures and workshops on Peace Leadership and Peace Literacy around the United States and many other countries.
Read these testimonials about Paul’s work from a diverse group of individuals that he has reached.
The Nuclear Age Peace Foundation (NAPF) strives to keep the Peace Literacy workshop affordable by not charging people for the training (the only cost to participants is the fee for staying at the retreat center), because we do not want money to prevent people from learning the essential Peace Literacy skills that empower us to improve our lives and the world. La Casa de Maria is providing a partial scholarship for all participants. NAPF is also providing partial scholarships for all participants to further lower the cost of accommodations and food.
Below is the cost per number of roommates. The costs listed below include lodging for five nights and four days, three meals a day, round-trip transportation from Santa Barbara airport or train station to La Casa de Maria retreat center (participants must cover their own travel costs to Santa Barbara), and all of the training.
Two roommates = $400 per person for entire workshop
One roommate = $500 per person for entire workshop
No roommate (own room) = $650 per person for entire workshop
